chris happens
chris was born in the United States in a time before the present, to a military family given to frequent relocation in the line of duty.
They spent many formative years in Bavaria during the reunification of Germany. They used to have a chunk of the wall they kept in an old ammunition box. It’s been lost since returning to the USA.
chris can speak German about as well as an erudite kindergartener, and Japanese about as well as a remedial community college student who watches a lot of films from Japan.
chris originally went to college for law. Then, they changed majors about ten times and fully poured energy into a number of fields (history, psychology, physics) before attending the Savannah College of Art and Design and majoring in Illustration. It was, overall, a good time during which chris forgot how to sleep or exist in public. (such things happen)
In 2013, chris applied for an art internship at a video game studio and was called back to interview for a design internship instead, got the position, and has since done a lot of technical work, content and writing, and whole-game system design for video games for a number of AAA studios. They have special interests and experience in combat, personalization/identity systems, crafting, progression, and traversal, where systems are concerned.
chris reads a lot of speculative fiction and comics, particularly sci-fi and horror. They also play a lot of video games, of many genres. chris enjoys going on long walks among the flowers, drawing, visiting historical sites and museums, and spending time with their brilliant spouse, darling children, and three delightful pugs.
